1. Introduction
MyWeekBoard is a planning app and service available at myweekboard.com. This Privacy Policy describes how MyWeekBoard collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects personal data, including Google user data when you choose to connect Google Calendar.
2. What we collect
- Account data, such as your email address and authentication details.
- Task and note data that you create in MyWeekBoard.
- Usage and diagnostic data needed to operate, troubleshoot, and secure the service.
- Billing and subscription data when paid features are used.
- Google user data only if you choose to connect Google Calendar.
For Google Calendar, MyWeekBoard may access calendar list information for calendars you select, and event data returned by the Google Calendar API needed for read-only features, including event title/summary, date/time, timezone, location, and other event metadata necessary to render the Schedule calendar overlay and busy-time view.
3. How we use data
MyWeekBoard uses data to authenticate users, store and sync tasks, provide AI features you enable, provide customer support, and operate, secure, and improve service reliability.
Google Calendar data is used only to let you connect calendars, choose which calendars to display, show a read-only event/busy-time overlay in Schedule, and support closely related user-facing functionality for that feature.
- MyWeekBoard does not use Google Calendar data for advertising.
- MyWeekBoard does not sell Google user data.
- MyWeekBoard does not use Google Calendar or Google user data to train generalized AI or ML models.
- Google Calendar overlay data is not sent to OpenAI for BoardBot or other AI features.
4. How we share data
MyWeekBoard may share data with service providers/processors that help us operate the service, including Firebase Authentication (identity), Google Cloud (hosting/infrastructure), Stripe (billing), and OpenAI (only for user-invoked AI features).
We may also disclose data when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect users, enforce terms, investigate abuse, or protect the security and integrity of MyWeekBoard.
For Google Calendar and related Google user data: we do not sell it, do not share it with third parties for advertising, data-broker, reseller, credit, lending, or unrelated analytics purposes, and do not transfer it except as needed to provide user-facing features, comply with law, or protect security.
5. How we protect sensitive data
MyWeekBoard applies reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Safeguards include HTTPS/TLS for data in transit, encryption of stored Google OAuth tokens before writing them to the database, access controls and least-privilege practices, and requesting only the Google Calendar read-only scope needed for this feature.
No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, but we work to maintain safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the data we process.
6. Retention and deletion
- Account and task data are retained while your account is active, subject to legal and legitimate business obligations.
- Google Calendar event data used for overlays is fetched on demand and is not stored as a long-term permanent event archive.
- Encrypted Google OAuth tokens are stored until you disconnect Google Calendar, revoke Google access, or delete your account.
- Disconnecting Google Calendar deletes the stored calendar connection record from active systems and attempts token revocation where supported.
- You can also revoke MyWeekBoard access at any time from your Google account permissions.
7. Changes to this policy
If MyWeekBoard changes how Google user data is used, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide notice before using that data in a materially different way.
